MexicoA very short piece to end the day—the kind of thing one can enjoy with sundowners. I post this link to share with you a presentation that left me intrigued and impressed. I refer to the Pinos Altos Project Analysts Tour from June of 2006. Who needs the National Geographic or any glossy-paper mining magazine when such magnificence is at the end of a computer button? 

This might just be the shake of the future—or should I say shape. I report on the idea so that you may use it if you spy an opportunity to improve safety on your  mine. Basically it seems that there is a new rock anchor “with dynamic capabilities” that will keep the underground workings intact in the event of an earthquake.
